A letter to President Emmanuel Macron - From The United States of America

Killian Yates

Subject: Request for Presidential Pardon of Marine Le Pen

Dear President Macron,

I write to you today not as a citizen of France, but as a fellow participant in this fragile experiment we call democracy—one that the world watches, and one that must set standards that future generations will judge us by.

While our ideologies may differ, and while Marine Le Pen’s political stances may not align with your administration’s vision for France, her legal convictions relating to campaign finance and spending raise a far more profound issue than partisan politics: the principle that a free world does not arrest its political rivals, even when it can. It convinces them, debates them, defeats them in elections—but it does not cage them for technicalities that, in nearly every political system, are selectively enforced or ambiguously written.

Campaign finance is an area riddled with bureaucracy, where even the most ethically grounded individuals can falter in compliance, not from intent, but from complexity. If justice becomes so entangled in the machinery of process that it confuses ethical clarity with technical infractions, then we risk allowing the system itself—not the people—to dictate who is electable. That is not democracy; that is rule by procedure.

I urge you to consider issuing a presidential pardon for Marine Le Pen—not because of agreement, not because of endorsement, but because of what it represents: a refusal to allow legal instruments to become tools for silencing opposition. A refusal to let the precedence of punishing democratic participation be normalized. And a commitment to ensuring that freedom—real freedom—is not just defended, but clearly distinguishable from the structures that could one day destroy it.

France has long been a beacon of liberty. In this moment, the world watches how you will respond—not to her politics, but to the principle at stake.

Respectfully,

Killian Yates

Threats United States national security and space dominance

Threat Analysis: The Strategic Risks of Japan/India/UK Space Capabilities on U.S. Military Space Assets and National Security Killian H. Yates | Sunday, February 23, 2025 www.LinkedIn.com/in/KillianYates United States of America Executive Summary Japan’s advancements in space debris removal technologies—especially through initiatives like Astroscale and JAXA’s Commercial Removal of Debris Demonstration (CRD2) program—pose a dual-use risk to U.S. military assets in space. While these capabilities are publicly focused on maintaining space sustainability, their precision and operational flexibility could be repurposed to undermine U.S. space dominance. This paper explores the specific threats these technologies pose to U.S. military space infrastructure and examines the strategic implications of a potential shift in space power dynamics. 1.
