In a time where public trust in government is hanging by a thread and accountability has become a buzzword instead of a practice, I, Killian Yates, am officially announcing my campaign for Governor of Oregon.
This isn't about party lines, ego, or climbing the political ladder. This is about one simple truth: Oregonians deserve a government that works for them—not against them. I've seen firsthand what happens when the systems meant to protect and serve the people are hijacked by fraud, incompetence, and cowardice. I've walked the disaster zones, led shelter operations, coordinated with the National Guard, and been on the front lines when the government failed to show up. I've worked side by side with law enforcement, firefighters, and ordinary citizens while politicians stayed behind podiums.
This campaign is for the families forgotten by the bureaucrats. For the small business owners strangled by red tape. For the addiction-ravaged communities treated as PR problems instead of people.
Let me be clear: I don't come from a political dynasty or a trust fund. I come from working in food service, managing disaster shelters, and fighting fraud with nothing but my brain, my principles, and a borderline obsessive need to do the right thing even when it's unpopular. I've put my time in—over 3,000 hours of disaster response. I've seen the cracks in the system because I've lived in them. Now I'm stepping up with a plan to fix what's broken, expose what's corrupt, and rebuild what's been forgotten.

Real Transparency. No more hiding behind PR statements and paywalls. I'll make public records truly public—and public servants truly accountable.
Fraud-Free Oregon. I'm coming for waste, theft, and abuse at every level—state contracts, public benefits, campaign spending, you name it.
Common-Sense Governance. If it doesn't make sense to the people paying for it, it doesn't belong in the budget.
Constitutional Backbone. I will not let Oregon drift further from the rights and values enshrined in our founding documents. That includes freedom of speech, the right to self-defense, and the duty to stand up to tyranny.
Healing through Honor. Addiction, poverty, and homelessness are not moral failures—they're policy failures. We will treat root causes, not symptoms, and return dignity to every person who wants a second chance.
I'm not asking for blind loyalty—I'm asking you to hold me to a higher standard than any politician who's ever run before. I want to earn your respect, not your applause.
